Aloha! We're Sam & Alex

We're a couple living the island dream in beautiful Honolulu, O'ahu, sharing our home (and hearts) with three incredibly photogenic Guinea Pigs: Maple, Peanut, and Honey.

What started as casual phone videos of our Guinea Pigs' daily chaos turned into this site—a place to share their adorable antics, document life in Honolulu, and maybe inspire a few laughs along the way.

🏝️

How We Started Filming

It began with Peanut escaping his cage for the third time in one week. Sam grabbed her phone to film the chase, Alex narrated the chaos, and we realized: this needed to be documented. Now we've got a whole archive of Guinea Pig hijinks.

🌊

Our Honolulu Favorites

We love exploring O'ahu—from Saturday mornings at the KCC Farmers' Market to sunset beach walks (the Guinea Pigs stay home for those). Diamond Head hikes, Waikīkī food truck discoveries, and hidden local gems are our jam.

🐹

Meet the Guinea Pigs

Maple is our gentle snacker. Peanut is pure chaos energy. Honey runs the show with quiet confidence. Together, they're the stars of this site (and our household).

The Guinea Pig Lineup 🎬

🍫

Maple "The Sweet One"

  • Personality: Calm, food-motivated, reliable
  • Favorite Activity: Sunbathing on the lanai (in his cage, safely)
  • Signature Move: The slow, methodical cheek-stuff
  • Fun Fact: Has never escaped. Not once. Good Guinea Pig.

Maple is the reason we thought Guinea Pigs were low-maintenance pets. He's the control group. The baseline. The one who makes us look like competent Guinea Pig parents.

👑

Honey "The Boss Guinea Pig"

  • Personality: Confident, territorial, regal
  • Favorite Activity: Surveying his kingdom from the top platform
  • Signature Move: The judgmental side-eye
  • Fun Fact: Somehow gets first dibs on treats. Every. Single. Time.

Honey doesn't ask for things—he expects them. He's the Guinea Pig equivalent of a benevolent dictator. Calm, composed, and somehow always in charge. Built-in meme potential? Absolutely.

Filming Setup

We use our phones, natural light, and a whole lot of patience. Pro tip: Guinea Pigs don't take direction well.

🌅

Best Time to Film

Early morning or late evening—when the Guinea Pigs are most active and the Honolulu light is *chef's kiss*.

🍿

Most Filmed Activity

Snack time, hands down. Watching a Guinea Pig stuff its cheeks never gets old.
